Monthly Meeting Minutes

1. Welcome

2. Month In Review 

   1. Dine and Donate at Wendy’s - $165 raised

   2. Event at Play wasn’t a huge draw, consider expanding event next year by combining with Logan Theatre for childcare while parents shop. Mari and Ashlee will confirm date of Dec 7th for next school year at Play. 

3. Executive Updates

   1. LSC Collaboration

   2. School Admin collaboration - vote needed

      1. Goethe received a sizable STEAM donation to fund teacher education at MSI. FOGS approves 9-0 to put the funds toward the requested purpose. 

      2. Admin to confirm who at school will be responsible for tax donation letters for money received at Goethe instead of via FOGS

4. Treasurer’s Report 

   1. Donation letters & Tax documents

      1. Tax documents sent by Mari

      2. Recurring donations via Wix will be closed and moved to GiveSmart. Sara to reach out to recurring donations to ask for them to move to GiveSmart.

5. Report-Outs

6. Communications - vote needed 

   1. Proposal to move all communications to GiveSmart (removing Wix) and for FOGS website to be on the server for goetheschool.com. Approximately the same cost per year (Wix = $600 per year, GiveSmart = $50 per month at current distribution list). Risk that if the distribution list grows to the next level, the cost will be $90 per month, but we are currently well below the next level. Approved 9-0. 

7. Bucket Filling

   1. RSP appreciation will be next week

8. Fundraising Report-Outs

   1. Winter Fundraiser

      1. Tickets just started, about to push ticket sales through platforms. Currently 150 tickets remain.

      2. Request to ask contacts for GCs to for dinners

      3. Looking for one live auction at around 2K in value - Reach out to Mari if any leads

   2. Fun Run

      1. Kim completed GiveSmart training

      2. Each kid gets their own page and also has school-wide thermometer

      3. There’s a need for help with data entry. Help needed by March 3rd. Reach out to Kim.

      4. Call for additional committee help. Reach out to Kim.

   1. Snacks volunteer for March 3 meeting - Sara will cover
